Financial wellbeing in the workplace is an important driver of productivity. When staff are worried about money matters, they can be present, but not fully engaged.
Known as presenteeism, dealing will financial problems is one of the most common distractions at work - and with organisations now recognising the benefits of education and guidance in topics like health, money and addiction, independent expertise can play an important role in helping staff to be better informed and personally prepared - ultimately happier and more productive.
Estimates show that financially stressed employees spend an average of 3.2 hours per week dealing with, or stressing out about, money matters, and a recent CEBR study found that some larger organisations report losses of over £500,000 annually due to money distractions at work - so we have work to do !
